The goal, in my mind, is to be creative without unnecessarily revamping everything each year. Decide which factors are most important to you. Such as:
- Beauty? And if so, organizational or free flowing?
- Maximum productivity? Then, you will have to work hard on exact spacing and timing.
- Fun hobby? What makes it fun?
I wrote about some of my most recent planting strategies in this blog post for D&B Supply entitled Creative Strategies for Spring Planting. You might also find this article about why I don’t worry much about crop rotation interesting. And here is an article from over at finegardening.com about simple ways to make your vegetable garden prettier without making it overly complicated.
Hopefully, you will find some inspiration in these articles that will help you not only face, but enjoy the sometimes daunting task of spring planting.
