I have developed a growing frustration with sprinklers near the house. The basement living space has been slightly flooded a few times. There are perpetually hard water spots on the windows. All of this despite the fact that every summer we work on aligning and fixing the sprinklers. Since I don’t want to resort to xeriscaping, I have been trying to come up with other ways to deal with this water trouble. Finally, I figured out that I need to think differently about the greenery near the house. I wrote about moving plants and sprinkler systems away from the house in my guest post for D&B Supply. It may take a couple of years, but it will be worth it. Hopefully, it will be the beginning of a whole new trend that solves the same problem for many people.
