Why Chickens are the Perfect Pet for the Gardener

Chickens are both useful and fun to have as an accessory to your garden.  I tell about my unlikely love for chickens in my guest post for D&B Supply this week.

Many thanks to the Head Chicken Pen Builder –

In the post, I also mention Lewis Cluck & Pluck, a small poultry processing operation near Homedale, Idaho.  You can read more about their process of butchering chickens and see lots of good photos on this guest post by my daughter, who loved chickens before I did!  Contact them at 541-856-3347 to make arrangements to have your chickens prepared for the freezer.

What great pictures! Your chicken pen builder looks very happy to be working outdoors.

I do feel sorry for the poor bored herding dog. It’s not nearly as fun when all the work has been done for her.

🙂 She “gets to” herd me pretty regularly…
