Keep the Curtain from Blowing in Your Face by Using a Toilet Paper Holder as a Tie Back

July 18, 2012 by Laura Blodgett 3 Comments

Back in July of 2010, I stepped outside the lines of product designation and bought a toilet paper holder to use as an extra small towel rack by my sink in the kitchen. It is an open ended, simple one bar apparatus so that it fits on the short side of the cupboard by the window. (similar to this one)

Yesterday evening, the curtain was blowing in my face like never before, blinding me from doing the dishes.  I suppose I should have just stepped away from the sink, but who likes to be whooped by a curtain?  So, I mused and had an “aha!” moment.  The towel rack  could double as a curtain holder!  I love those kind of simple solutions.

When life is a curtain hitting you in the face, don’t forget to look for answers right in front of you!

Those holders are beautiful, and fit there so naturally – no one would ever know they were originally bathroom accessories!

I didn’t know what they were, and I helped install them. O.o
